The Regional Training & Consultation Hubs provide a Comprehensive Early Learning Training and Consultation System through a continuum of professional development services to early care and education programs staff based on program goals, preferences, needs, strengths, and risk factors. In accordance to the needs of the early learning programs in New Mexico, a combination of services are available, such as training assistance, coaching, consultation, mentoring, communities of practice, and verification services.

Verification & Assessment

In partnership with the Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD), the UNM Early Childhood Services Center (ECSC) is proud to offer FOCUS verification services across New Mexico.

UNM ECSC:

• Is a resource for early childhood programs participating in FOCUS and is dedicated to providing information using OIR-R approach-observation, Interview, Review and Report.
• Conducts formal assessments using recognized and validated early childhood assessment tools.
• Provides professional development opportunities to ECE in alignment with NM quality initiatives.
