Training & Consultation

The Regional Training & Consultation teams provide a Comprehensive Early Learning Training and Consultation System through a continuum of professional development services to early care and education programs staff based on program goals, preferences, needs, strengths, and risk factors. In accordance to the needs of the early learning programs in New Mexico, a combination of services are available, such as training assistance, coaching, consultation, mentoring, communities of practice, and verification services.

We provide a combination of services to early learning and care programs such as training, technical assistance, coaching, consultation, mentoring, access to early childhood resources, and communities of practice. 

We provide support to Licensed & Registered Child Care Programs, 1 and 2 STAR Child Care Programs, FOCUS 2+ 5 STAR Programs, and ECECD NM PreK Programs.

Regional Training & Support Centers

With our team of more than 55 consultants providing coaching and consultation to programs across New Mexico, we help programs focus on the achievement of state Quality Improvement Standards, NM PreK Standards, and Licensing Standards.

Our consultants are based out of one of our five Early Childhood Services Center HUBS across the state of New Mexico.

Toy Lending & Resource Libraries

With the support of our consultants and our Training and Support HUBs, early care educators, community partners, and families can borrow educational materials, videos, children's books, and toys for free! These toy lending and resource libraries, and "Paloma's Play Corners" are located in communities throughout New Mexico:
